Preparation of material
The articles to be hot-dip galvanized must have the correct chemical composition. It is crucial for the thickness, appearance and quality of the zinc coating.
In the event you are not certain if your material is suitable to be hot-dip galvanized, you should acquire a certificate for the purchased metal from your supplier and compare the certificate data with our recommended values (General technical provisions of hot-dip galvanizing), or you can send us a sample of the metal for test galvanizing.
We can protect your elements with passivation, thus preventing the creation of white rust. If you plan to paint your elements after galvanizing, you have to point out that you do not wish to subdue the galvanized surface to passivation due to possible effects on its adhesion properties, when placing your order. If you do not present this admonition, we reserve the right to subdue the elements to passivation. We can offer you free-of-charge samples of galvanized plates, on which you can test the adhesion of paint on the galvanized surface.
